All plenary sessions and selected workshops can be translated into German. 

Three Speakers, Three Stories: 

Jörg Arnold, the founder of Fairpicture, will demonstrate in the Ethical Storytelling workshop how visual communication can operate without relying on stereotypes and discrimination, thus enabling a fair and representative visual language.

Mayqueen Serwaa Frimpong, from fairafric, oversees the production line at fairafric Ghana and will serve as a young producer on the Youth Panel.

Marc Steiner, a judge at the Swiss Federal Administrative Court, is an expert in public procurement and will illustrate how the new procurement law can be practically, fairly, and effectively implemented.

Off-Site Kick-Off in Vaduz, Liechtenstein

On Friday morning the International Fair Trade Towns Conference 2023 will launch off-site in the neighboring Fair Trade Town of Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Enjoy a welcome coffee and local croissants at 09:15, followed by a plenary discussion on “Localising Fair Trade” at 09:30, hosted at Vaduz’s City Hall.

Meet local FTT Vaduz stakeholders at 10:30 and learn about Vaduz’s Fair Trade initiatives, the local approach with lokal + fair and the ‘World Acre.’ The Vaduz Program ends at 12:00, with participants receiving a lunch package of fair and local goodies. You can return to the Lintharena via the provided shuttle (if registered) or using your own transportation.

Departure to Vaduz for all participants who have registered for the shuttle bus is at 8:15 am at the Lintharena / 7:45 am in Filzbach, Siminarhotel Lihn. Buses will transport us to Vaduz and back. Please note that lunch will be provided.

Glarus Nord Tourism Program

For the grand finale of IFTTC 2023, experience Glarus Nord beyond the conference venue. Choose from two excursions by the Tourism Committee of Glarus Nord. The meeting point is at 8:30 at the Lintharena. Buses will take you to Option 1 or Option 2 and back to the Lintharena 

Option 1: Swiss Chocolate
Step into the House of Läderach! Immerse yourself in the world of Swiss chocolate with a factory tour, tastings, a museum tour, and the infamous chocolate fountain! After shopping for your favorite chocolates, we invite you to a Swiss lunch at the Schlössli Niederurnen. The Excursion ends at 13:45 in Niederurnen (transportation from and if wished also back to the Lintharena is arranged).

Option 2: Swiss Mountains
Take a scenic ride up the mountains aboard the Kerenzerberg chairlift! Hike to the picturesque Talalpsee mountain lake and pause for a coffee and a croissant. Enjoy a traditional Swiss lunch with panoramic views at the Habergschwänd restaurant before heading back on the mountain chairlift. Don’t forget to bring your hiking shoes!
The excursion ends at 13:30 in Filzbach / 14:13 at Lintharena (transportation from and back to the Lintharena is arranged).
